Paide Linnameeskond have signed former Flamengo midfielder Daniel Cabral on a free transfer, agreeing a three-season deal to June 2029. The move was announced on Monday.
Cabral, once viewed as a major talent at Flamengo, arrives to bolster Paide’s midfield. The player said in a post that he felt very happy and grateful. He praised the club for believing in him and making a big effort, and promised to repay that faith on and off the pitch with respect for the shirt, city and supporters.
He added that his expectations for the imminent season are high, aiming to take a big step with the team. He wants to help deliver a winning campaign, with titles, and for all objectives to be achieved.
A Flamengo academy graduate, Cabral made his senior debut in 2020. He then moved to Estrela da Amadora in Portugal after limited opportunities in Rio.
Last season he returned to Brazil on loan with Remo, making only five appearances. He then joined Volta Redonda, where chances were also scarce, before agreeing his switch to Paide in 2026.
