Thirty-three years on, Palmeiras’ 1993 Paulista title still resonates, with Evair a defining figure. Nosso Palestra highlights the anniversary.
On 12 June 1993, the club ended more than 16 years without silverware by beating Corinthians 4-0 in the second leg.
The emphatic scoreline became a landmark for the club, viewed as the start of a gilded era under Vanderlei Luxemburgo, powered by Parmalat investment.
Among the protagonists, Evair converted a high-pressure penalty and helped shape the 4-0, a contribution that cemented his idol status with supporters.
More recently, the first-team dressing room at Palmeiras has been refreshed, adopting a new visual identity. Historic photos of title-winning sides were replaced by inspirational phrases and institutional messages across the walls.
