Everton Cebolinha is closing in on a move to Santos after receiving permission from Flamengo to find a new club. According to Coluna Do Fla, the 30-year-old is negotiating final details and is expected to sign until the end of the year.

The proposed deal follows the model used for recent arrivals Arthur and Lima. It includes an option to extend the partnership by a further two years if both sides agree.

Santos are moving quickly to register recruits so they can feature as soon as possible this season. Arthur and Lima have already made their debuts against Internacional, while only right-back Rodinei still awaits registration.

Cebolinha had been with Flamengo’s squad in Belém, but the club allowed him to return to Rio de Janeiro to settle his future. His Flamengo contract runs to December, he does not plan to renew, and he is outside Leonardo Jardim’s plans.

Santos first showed interest last year but grew pessimistic amid enquiries from Europe and other Brazilian sides, and stepped back. The picture has since changed and talks have advanced again, with Neymar calling Flamengo’s number 11 to help the push.

Since joining Flamengo in 2022, he has made 193 appearances, scoring 21 goals and providing 26 assists.
