Everton Cebolinha has rejected an approach from Santos, instead prioritising a return to European football. Should he remain in Brazil, he has indicated a preference to rejoin Grêmio.

Flamengo have informed him he can leave on a free this window, given his deal ends in December and his salary is high. RTI Esporte/Terra reports he earns about R$ 1.2 million per month in Rio de Janeiro.

A move this window advanced with Krasnodar, and talks were close to completion. The Russian club, however, stepped back and halted negotiations, despite progress with Flamengo and positive conversations with the forward.

To return to Porto Alegre, the 2016 Copa do Brasil and 2017 Libertadores winner would need to accept a significant pay cut.

Grêmio could also face competition from Botafogo, with suggestions the Rio club is willing to pay a high salary for the attacker.
