Éverton Cebolinha has been allowed by Flamengo to seek a new club as his deal runs down, and approaches from Santos and Botafogo did not progress.

According to Gremistas.net, after initial contact from Santos the forward indicated he would only remain in Brazilian football for a return to Grêmio, while his priority is to move abroad.

In recent months, authorised intermediaries offered him to leading Brazilian clubs, and Grêmio were presented with the option roughly two months ago for this window.

His financial ask, combining monthly salary, signing-on fee and bonuses, is about R$ 1.5 million, which Grêmio view as above their new financial reality amid a major overhaul this season.

There is admiration for his quality, and talks could begin if the demand drops, although insiders consider that scenario highly unlikely.

Abroad, the most advanced discussions are with Krasnodar in Russia. A pre-contract offer is on the table, but he has yet to accept amid concern over the country’s war.
