Everton ‘have just enquired’ about potentially signing Senegal winger Assane Diao, who is on the books at Serie A club Como.
The Toffees have made some key additions to their engine room, which could see in-demand Tim Iroegbunam leave the club.
Mohamed Salah’s new club, Trabzonspor, are his latest suitors, with all three promoted Premier League sides keen also on Ireogbunam.
Everton have signed Tyrique George on a permanent deal from Chelsea after his loan expired last term, but Jack Grealish’s return is nowhere near guaranteed.
He played an off-the-bench cameo for Manchester City against Arsenal in the Community Shield on Sunday, and a possible move to his former side Aston Villa is not out of the question.

David Moyes, though, is keen on bringing in more wingers to add to the attack and Galatasaray’s Baris Alper Yilmaz appeared as an option for Everton.
Now Everton have started to explore signing an option from the Italian top flight, Serie A.
According to Italian journalist Matteo Moretto, Como attacker Diao is on the Toffees’ wish list.
And it has been suggested that Moyes’ side have now just put in an enquiry for the versatile forward as they check his availability.

Everton wanted the 20-year-old forward last summer as well, but Cesc Fabregas’ side made it clear that Diao was not for sale.
The 20-year-old is naturally a right winger, but he can play almost anywhere in the front three for his physicality and quality on the ball.
Diao has ten goals and two assists in 32 Serie A games, and he is highly rated at the Italian top-flight side, where his contract runs for three more years.
He impressed in his pre-season performance against Arsenal last week and Everton feel that Diao could become a top prospect for them at the Hill Dickinson.
Whether the Toffees will step up their interest with an offer for the young forward in the coming days remains to be seen.
