Everton's unexpected push for European football across the first half of the 2025/26 Premier League season continues as the Toffees take a 2-0 lead into the half-time interval.

The January return of iconic manager David Moyes has hit another gear this season on the blue half of Merseyside as Everton begin a new chapter at Hill Dickinson Stadium, where an opener in just the second minute thanks to an own goal from Forest's Nikola Milenković set them away.

But it would be French forward Thierno Barry that would celebrate loudest before the interval, when the 23-year-old bagged his first goal for the club since his summer move from Villarreal.

It's been a rough ride for the former U21 international, who previously shone not just in Spain, but also during credible stints for Basel and Beveren, respectively.

Can a first goal set him off on a run that could further elevate Everton's improbable run back to continental football?
