Everton’s recruitment team keeps a close eye on players who can strengthen their attack as the club continues to push for European contention. The Toffees have shown a more measured transfer strategy lately, as we reported earlier that Everton will only spend in the January transfer window if they get the right player. Against that backdrop, Ansu Fati’s resurgence at AS Monaco draws plenty of attention across the Premier League.
According to Fichajes, Crystal Palace, Everton, and Newcastle United plan to explore a move for the 22-year-old attacker after his impressive start in France. Fati’s story shows a journey of recovery and rediscovery. After several injury setbacks at Barcelona, the winger lost his spark and confidence. At one point, doubts surrounded whether the Spaniard could ever reach the potential that once saw him compared to Lionel Messi.
Yet, his loan move to AS Monaco has changed everything. The French club agreed to take Fati on loan with an €11 million buy option, while Barcelona inserted a €28 million buyback clause. Since then, Fati has hit top form again.
He has scored six goals in five games and reminded everyone of his natural flair and quick feet. This form has drawn interest across England. Everton, in particular, are following his progress closely. They see Fati as the kind of flexible attacker who can lift their forward line.
His ability to play across the front three will cater to David Moyes’ tactics with pace, directness, and end product. Meanwhile, Everton aim to secure Jordan Pickford’s future with a new contract. That step shows the club intends to build stability while improving key areas of the squad.

If Everton do make a move, they will show both ambition and risk. Fati’s skill set fits what the Toffees need. He creates moments of brilliance and adds unpredictability in attack. Thierno Barry, Beto, and Iliman Ndiaye provide variety, but the team still lacks a consistent creative spark.
Fati can fill that gap. His dribbling sharpness, quick decisions, and ability to cut inside make him dangerous from either flank. However, there are still some lingering doubts. His injury record raises concern, and his earlier loan spell at Brighton brought only four goals in 27 appearances.
The 22-year-old might need time to adjust again to the Premier League’s pace and physicality. Still, if he maintains this form, Everton’s management will view him as a smart investment rather than a gamble. In the end, Fati’s revival leaves his story open. His performances might push Premier League clubs to act.
If Everton decide to sign him, the move will show their intent to mix steady planning with bold attacking vision. For a side seeking balance between long-term growth and attacking spark, Fati might be the player who makes that difference. What do you think, Everton fans? Do you all need Fati?
