Ex-Bayern gem Batista Meier to join Paderborn from Preußen Münster

SC Preußen Münster's Oliver Batista Meier will be playing in the Bundesliga next season, according to Sky Germany.

The attacking midfielder is on the verge of joining newly promoted SC Paderborn who defeated VfL Wolfsburg to get there.

Batista Meier is expected to sign a three-year contract tomorrow, Thursday 18 June, and then the official announcement will follow.

Sky journalists Florian Plettenberg and Kerry Hau believe the Kaiserslautern native will pen a deal with Paderborn until 2029.

The now 25-year-old originally transferred from SSV Ulm to Münster in the summer of 2025, but the club were relegated in May.

The former Bayern Munich talent contributed 6 goals and 4 assists in 30 appearances for the Eagles in the past second-division season.
