Former Kaizer Chiefs players Ramahlwe Mphahlele and Lebohang Lesako have joined Betway Premiership rookies Orbit College on a free transfer.

The veteran defender signed in after parting ways with AmaZulu at the end of last season as he was deemed surplus to requirements by coach Arthur Zwane.

With over 300 appearances in the South African topflight, Mphahlele is expected to bring stability and leadership in Pogiso Makhoye's team.

Meanwhile, the 26-year-old winger was also unattached following his departure from Motsepe Foundation Championship outfit Casric Stars.

Lesako came through the development ranks at Naturena during the 2020/21 season but failed to establish himself in the starting XI, prompting a series of loan spells until the expiry of his contract.

In addition to the former Chiefs players, Orbit have also acquired the services of ex-Chippa United midfielder Papama Tyongwana.

Makhoye's men are currently in 13th place on the Betway Premiership standings, having accumulated seven points from nine league outings.

Orbit will swing back to action with a visit to Richards Bay at uMhlathuze Sports Complex on Friday as they aim to return to winning ways after a defeat to Golden Arrows in their last league outing.
