Leeds United head to Wembley buoyed by a 97th-minute equaliser at Bournemouth that snatched a point and took them to 40 points before an FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea. The late show sent spirits soaring.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, fringe man Sean Longstaff supplied the moment with his second long-range strike of the season. It sharpened confidence at just the right time.

Daniel Farke's changes told, an own goal forced by Willy Gnonto was followed by another substitute scoring. Pascal Struijk dominated in the air, tidied up on the deck and just about played Evanilson offside, a display that almost definitely safeguarded his place for Sunday.

Andoni Iraola was unhappy at full-time, visiting the referee's room to contest the leveller before expressing anger, frustration and disappointment that it stood. Tyler Adams came within seconds of an assist, then ended by complaining to officials and making a VAR gesture as the referee signalled enough.

Jayden Bogle had a torrid first half and took a heavy knock. With the semi-final looming, there is a real chance Joe Rodon returns and James Justin shifts to wing-back, even if Bogle's issue is not serious. Leeds cannot afford to creak on either flank against Chelsea.

Off camera, Sebastiaan Bornauw and Facundo Buonanotte settled a rondo dispute with rock, paper, scissors, then collided, with Bornauw worse off. A temporary goal frame toppled during warm-ups and trapped a Bournemouth staffer. Adams later made a VAR sign before hugging Leeds staff, and Lewis Cook chatted with Alex Cairns.
