Former Liverpool and QPR winger, Jordon Ibe has avoided jail for an clash with his ex-girlfriend in December, where she was left with a bald patch.
Former Liverpool and Derby winger, Jordon Ibe has avoided jail after an altercation with his ex-girlfriend during a "distressing" row between the pair.
Ibe's ex-girlfriend Amie Mayson was left with a bald patch after the altercation, which occurred after he pulled a braid out of her hair back in December.
The former Liverpool man was hit with a 12-month community order after admitting to assault occasioning actual bodily harm on Mayson in the attack.
It was heard that Mayson confronted Ibe asking for money that was owed to her from him, but when he denied that request, she called Ibe a “druggy” before he grabbed her by her hair, which resulted in the injury.
Not only this, but the 30-year-old was told complete 80 hours of unpaid work and 27 days of rehabilitation activity, as well as being ordered to pay a £764 fine.

Speaking in a statement at the court hearing, Ibe admitted that he made a mistake and was remorseful, and took responsibility for his actions.
“I made a serious mistake. I understand it is wrong. I am genuinely remorseful. I’ve had to look at myself in the mirror. I cannot change what I did but will take responsibility for what I do next.”
This statement came after Mayson issued her own verdict, which left her distressed on the lasting damage of the incident between her and Ibe.
"Looking in the mirror is very distressing for me, the injury is a constant reminder of what happened and often leaves me feeling emotionally drained and upset."

Ibe was once a player that was tipped to be the next big star to come through Liverpool's ranks after moving to Merseyside in 2012 after previously being on the books with Wycombe Wanderers.
He made 58 appearances in total for the Reds, and chipped in with four goals and seven assists in his four-year spell with the Premier League giants.
Whilst with Liverpool, he had loan spells with Birmingham City and Derby County, before going on to sign for AFC Bournemouth on a permanent deal in 2016.
He spent four years with the Cherries, and featured regularly for them in the Premier League. Since then, his career has struggled to maintain that high level.

Ibe briefly joined Turkish side, Adanaspor, although he didn't make a single appearance for them, before moving back to England, this time with Ebbsfleet United.
One appearance in the National League for them was all he made in his time with the club, before he dropped further down the football pyramid, as he signed for Isthmian South Central side, Hayes & Yeading United.
He spent half a season there, as he went on to sign for Hungerford Town in the Southern League Premier Division South, which was a significant journey away from the EFL.
The winger most recently played for Bulgarian side, Lokomotiv Sofia, but was released early from his contract with them in June 2026, and he's been a free-agent ever since.
