Former Manchester United defender Timothy Fosu-Mensah is now having a trial with newly promoted Serie A side Como.
Fosu-Mensah has spent the last few seasons at Bayer Leverkusen but he never quite broke into the club’s first-team on a regular basis. His contract ran out in the summer and he is now a free agent.
Gianluca di Marzio has reported that Fosu-Mensah is training with Como, with Cesc Fabregas still looking to improve his side this summer. The trial is taking place and depending on how it goes, the club will decide whether to make the Dutchman a part of their squad or not.
The Lombary-based club are looking to sign a full-back this summer and since Kevin Diks isn’t being sold by Copenhagen, Fosu-Mensah has emerged as a potential option.
The 26-year-old made 11 Bundesliga appearances last season and in the 2022/23 season, he also made appearances in the Champions League for the side.
