Speaking to Tuttomercato via FCInterNews, the 45-year-old reiterated his desire to stay at the Stade Velodrome.

De Zerbi has emerged among several candidates to fill a potential managerial vacancy at San Siro.

Indeed, Inter are already scouring the market for a new manager as Simone Inzaghi looks set to leave the club.

With Al-Hilal vying for the ex-Lazio boss’ signature, Beppe Marotta works around the clock to find a suitable replacement.

De Zerbi would be an exciting profile, particularly given his extensive experience in Serie A.

However, the ex-Sassuolo coach is seemingly satisfied with life in France, where he arrived last summer.

After parting ways with Brighton at the end of the 2023/24 season, he took charge of Marseille.

Moreover, it’s been a massive hit as he steered the club back to the Champions League in his first season in the dugout.

Therefore, he’s reluctant to leave this summer.

For starters, De Zerbi admitted he hasn’t spoken with other teams.

“I’m happy at Marseille and haven’t received any calls from other clubs,” he stated.

Furthermore, he added insult to injury, insisting Napoli deserved to win the Serie A title.

“Napoli deserved the Scudetto,” he continued.

Finally, he claimed he didn’t follow the Champions League final between PSG and Inter.

“I didn’t watch the Champions League final,” he added. “I was at a Vasco Rossi concert in Turin with my daughter.”

De Zerbi’s rejection is hardly surprising when factoring in his past with AC Milan.

However, Inter will not waste time chasing wild gooses.
