Cardiff City are weighing up a move for Peterborough United winger Kyrell Lisbie
Cardiff City are weighing up a move for Peterborough United winger Kyrell Lisbie as they look to strengthen their attacking options in the January transfer window, Football League World understands.
The 22-year-old has enjoyed an impressive campaign at London Road and has emerged as one of League One’s standout wide players this season.
Cardiff, who currently sit at the summit of the division, are keen to add more options to forward line as Brian Barry-Murphy pushes to maintain the Bluebirds' promotion charge.
Lisbie has recorded two goals and two assists in 19 League One appearances for the Posh so far this season, mainly operating as a left winger whilst also playing through the middle on occasion.

No formal bid has been placed by the Welsh club at this moment in time but the Bluebirds are interested in launching a move with the winter transfer window now open for business.
It's unclear at this stage whether Posh will entertain any offers for Lisbie.
Lisbie began his career alongside his brother Kyreece at Leyton Orient before having a lengthy stint in non-league football, playing for the likes of Cray Valley Paper Mills, Woodford Town, Welling United and Braintree Town, before Posh signed him in May 2025.
His emergence in the third tier this campaign for Luke Williams' side has alerted the Bluebirds who already have a number of talented young stars in their squad.
Two in particular, Ronan Kpakio and Dylan Lawlor, are among the Bluebirds' most prized assets and have both been courted by some of Europe's biggest football clubs as we enter the January transfer window.
However, it's not just interest in the club's players that Cardiff City have to contend with right now, it's also in their manager Barry-Murphy.

The 47-year-old Cork-born coach is attracting admiring glances from French outfit Strasbourg who could lose their manager Liam Rosenior to Chelsea, following Enzo Maresca's sacking at Stamford Bridge.
Of course, if Barry-Murphy does stay on at the Cardiff City Stadium, he will no doubt be keen to kick on in 2026 as the Bluebirds sit pretty at the top of the League One table, having amassed 48 points from 23 league games.
