Rangers midfielder Mohamed Diomande has now officially joined Turkish Super Lig club Corum FK, it has been claimed in Turkey.

The 24-year-old initially joined Rangers on loan in 2024 before making the move permanent on a four-year contract, going on to establish himself as a regular at Ibrox.

He was part of Derek McInnes’ plans at the start of this season, starting Rangers’ opening two matches before coming off the bench at half-time against Hibernian on Sunday.

The Ivorian first emerged as a target for Corum FK a couple of days ago, and the Turkish side moved quickly to secure the midfielder, who arrived in Istanbul to undergo his medical.

Now, with fresh developments emerging, according to Turkish outlet Ajansspor, Corum have officially signed Diomande.

Rangers will receive €5.5m from the transfer and will be looking to reinvest the fee in bolstering their squad.

Corum have secured promotion to the Turkish Super Lig and have moved quickly to strengthen their squad ahead of their first season in the top flight.

They believe Diomande will bring added quality to their midfield, while his departure also suits Rangers after the Scottish giants bolstered that area of the squad during the summer.

With the summer transfer window in full swing, the Light Blues are looking to bolster their squad and are close to signing Couhaib Driouech from PSV Eindhoven.

The winger has admitted he is looking forward to his medical and joining the Ibrox side, having heard good things about the club.

Another player Rangers are interested in is Hugo Siquet, with the Scottish giants ‘closely monitoring’ the Club Brugge right-back.

However, the Gers have been dealt a setback early in the campaign, with Youssef Chermiti facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines after suffering an ACL injury.
