Brentford Women begin their FA Cup journey away to Dorking Wanderers on Sunday (3.30pm kick-off BST).

The second round qualifying clash at Meadowbank Football Ground is the first step for the Bees, who will be eyeing another strong run in the famous cup competition.

Carly Williams’ side progressed to the first round proper last term before losing on penalties to league rivals Sutton United.

The season prior, the Bees went on a magical run, making it to the third round proper before losing to west London rivals Fulham 2-1.

Last time out

Brentford’s winning start to the 2026/27 season came to an end last time out as they drew 2-2 with Barking away from home in the London and South East Premier Division.

Maddie Phillips opened the scoring from the penalty spot after Wiktoria Kiszkis’ cross was handled inside the box.

Barking answered a few minutes later, with the teams going in level at half-time. The hosts went ahead on 71 minutes, before Kiszkis equalised for the Bees from a neatly placed cross from Ashley Cheatley.

Last time out against Dorking, the west Londoners impressed en route to a 5-0 Capital Cup quarter-final victory in February.

Cloe O’Brien opened the scoring in the first half, with Renai McCrea, Cheatley, Rebecca Teale and Lucy Potter all netting after the interval.

Dorking go into Sunday’s clash sat last in the LSE Premier table, with two draws and three losses from their opening five games.

Despite big losses to Bromley (9-2) and Newhaven (4-0), the Wanderers responded last time out to draw 1-1 at Hammersmith.

Holly Crane and Maisie Dale have led the way up front with two goals each so far this season.
