Wolves could bank a windfall this summer if former defender Bastien Meupiyou secures a big-money move.

According to ExpressAndStar.com, Borussia Dortmund have submitted an offer worth up to £14.7million including add-ons, made up of an initial £10.4million plus £4.3million in bonuses.

Meupiyou, 20, joined Wolves in 2024 for around £4.2million from Nantes, did not make a first-team appearance, then left last summer for Portuguese side Alverca.

He has since been a regular at centre-back for the newly promoted club, who finished mid-table in the Portuguese top flight. Alverca have prepared for bids and believe he could become their record sale, surpassing the £7million received for Alex Amorim to Genoa in January.

Wolves inserted a buy-back clause for a small fee, although they are not expected to use it. Their sell-on agreement entitles them to recoup the £4.2million paid and 50 per cent of any profit.

If Dortmund’s bid is accepted, Wolves could receive up to £7.3million from the initial fee, plus a further £2.1million should the add-ons be triggered.
