Eze And Lewis-Skelly Get 8 | Arsenal Players Rated In Comfortable Win Vs Port Vale

Arsenal faced off against Port Vale at Vale Park earlier tonight as they looked to earn a good result away from home in the EFL Cup. The Gunners made a bright start to the contest and took the lead in the eighth minute thanks to Eberechi Eze’s effort. Mikel Arteta’s men went into the half-time interval 1-0 to the good.
Leandro Trossard doubled Arsenal’s advantage in the 86th minute as the match finished 2-0 in favour of the Gunners.
He didn’t have a save to make during the game and earned an important clean sheet tonight.
RB: Ben White – 7/10
White cleared the danger when needed and made two key chances going forward.
CB: William Saliba – 7.5/10
He was good on the ball and dealt with the danger when needed. Saliba did well to pick up an assist.
CB: Cristhian Mosquera – 7/10
Mosquera put his foot through the ball when he could and would be pleased with the clean sheet.

LB: Myles Lewis-Skelly – 8/10
He was a positive influence at both ends of the pitch and has got an assist to show for his efforts.
CM: Ethan Nwaneri – 7/10
Nwaneri anchored the midfield well and was not shy of having a strike at goal.
CM: Christian Norgaard – 7/10
He offered decent protection for his teammates at the back and made one key chance going forward.
CM: Eberechi Eze – 8/10
Eze was a real threat in the final third and was responsible for scoring the opener in the eighth minute.
RW: Bukayo Saka – 6.5/10
He caught the eye at times on the right flank but failed to get his name on the scoresheet.
ST: Mikel Merino – 6.5/10
The Spaniard was a real handful for the opposition defenders and was replaced in the 70th minute.
LW: Gabriel Martinelli – 6.5/10
He made one decent run with the ball but struggled to threaten the opponent’s goal.

Dowman made one decent chance in the final third.
ST: Viktor Gyokeres – 6/10
His impact on the game was minimal.
