FA Cup: Manchester City dominates Salford and qualifies
Manchester City secured a 2-0 victory over Salford City this Saturday, advancing to the fifth round of the FA Cup.
The opening goal came as early as the 6th minute, courtesy of an unfortunate own goal by Alfie Dorrington, who deflected a cross from Rayan Aït-Nouri into his own net. The win was sealed in the 81st minute by Marc Guéhi, who notched his first goal in City colors.
Despite a few attempts from Salford, City controlled the match and gave some of their key players, such as Erling Haaland and Bernardo Silva, a well-deserved rest as they remained on the bench. The Citizens move on to the next round and can now focus on their upcoming Premier League fixtures with confidence.
