FA 'deeply concerned' about FIFA's World Cup plans | OneFootball

The Football Association has responded to recent news of FIFA's plan to 'attract investment' for the World Cup.

Football's global governing body – which has annual revenues of several billion dollars per year – are said to be floating the idea of selling off a stake in the tournament to fill the coffers even further.

Those plans have faced backlash from fans while various other governing bodies and associations appear to have no idea that the organisation, fronted by the sycophantic president Gianni Infantino, had made such considerations.

"We were completely unaware of this proposal and have no substantive details, including what the proposition actually is, and what conditions are attached," the FA said in response.

"Based on the limited information, we are deeply concerned about the lack of process and governance to get to this point, and the apparent substance and principles involved.

"When the proposal is shared in the full and transparent way now promised by FIFA, we will make our views clear, and comment further."
