Whilst Fabián Ruiz (28) is currently thriving with the Spanish national team at Euro 2024, there remain questions about his club future at Paris Saint-Germain.

Foot Mercato reported last month that Ruiz was one of the players that PSG were considering selling this summer, despite Luis Enrique being an admirer of the former Napoli midfielder. In his two years with Les Parisiens, Ruiz has not been a guaranteed starter and with the club looking to recruit further in midfield this summer, it remains to be seen what role Ruiz will play next season.

However, despite that uncertainty and despite the very real prospect of enhanced competition for a place in PSG’s midfield next season, Ruiz seems determined to remain with the reigning Ligue 1 champions. “I know that my name comes up in every transfer window,” said Ruiz, who is preparing to face France in the semi-finals of Euro 2024. “But I am good in Paris. I still have three years left on my contract and I still have lots of objectives to reach with PSG,” he added, in an interview with Le Parisien.

One of those objectives will certainly be winning that all-elusive UEFA Champions League. Les Parisiens reached the semi-finals of the competition last season, losing to Borussia Dortmund over two legs.
