Fabinho has been named the Liga Nacional de Futsal’s best pivot for July, recognising the Corinthians player’s influence across a key month in the competition.

According to Meu Timao, the LNF on Tuesday unveiled its July team of the month, with Fabinho selected at pivot to represent Corinthians in the five-man lineup.

Wearing number 19, he featured in four matches and scored two goals, against Marreco and Minas. He joined Deko (Magnus), Rafinha (Praia Clube), Duduzinho (Pato) and Fernando (Joinville) in the selected side.

The nod arrives as Corinthians recover form in the LNF. In July they recorded one win, two draws and one defeat, a run that helped them move away from the relegation fight and qualify for the knockout phase in 11th.

That means pre-quarter-finals next, the round before the quarter-finals. They face Pato over two legs, with dates yet to be confirmed.

While LNF dates are pending, Corinthians switch focus to the Campeonato Paulista. They visit Botucatu on Wednesday at 19:00 at Ginásio Professor Osni Bertotti Leme in the 10th round.
