Como head coach Cesc Fabregas has revealed that he attempted to sign who would eventually go on to join Inter during the summer transfer window: ‘It means we must have good eyes’.
The Como boss, who has been linked with jobs at Barcelona and Manchester City on Friday, revealed that he came close to landing the services of Petar Sucic and Luis Henrique over the last year, both of whom joined Inter at the beginning of the summer transfer window.

Fabregas, speaking during his pre-match press conference on Friday ahead of Como’s Serie A match against the Nerazzurri, said that he felt ‘everything was done’ with Sucic, and that his side had also made attempts to sign Luis Henrique while he was still at Marseille.
When asked which Inter players he would most like to have in his Como team, Fabregas replied: “I don’t really like to say names. I’m a big fan of Lautaro, Dimarco, Sucic, I feel he is one of mine. It was all done for him. We tried to sign Luis Henrique last year. It means we must have good eyes. I’m a big fan of the player, for his footballing personality.”
Sucic, in the end, joined Inter from Dinamo Zagreb for a fee of €14m plus €2m in add-ons, while Luis Henrique joined the Nerazzurri from Marseille at a total cost of €25m, of which €23m was guaranteed.
