Fabrizio Romano has reported that Chelsea have now made a transfer decision to recall a striker who has 40 career goals so far.
This is a decision that they’ve made during the January transfer window this month, and one that has been confirmed by the transfer expert this morning.
Of course, all the big transfer news around Chelsea right now is regarding Rennes defender Jeremy Jacquet’s proposed move to The Blues this window – something that Chelsea are working hard on right now.
As well as this, there has been some news out this week suggesting that Chelsea are now willing to sell midfielder Enzo Fernandez in the summer transfer window, with Real Madrid cited as a possible new destination for the Argentine international.
But back to the story on hand now, and Chelsea have recalled striker David Datro Fofana from his loan spell at Fatih Karagümrük in Turkey.
Romano has reported on his X account today:
“Chelsea recall David Datro Fofana from loan as he’s set for new move in the upcoming days/weeks.
“#CFC and Fofana’s camp working on a permanent exit.”
Looks like Chelsea have sorted a new permanent club for the striker so it sounds like he is off now and that’s why he’s been recalled from his loan move.
He’s never been close to making it at Chelsea and it was a bit of a wasteful signing really. Let’s just hope they manage to earn a bit of money on the sale, wherever the striker may end up going next.
