FC Barcelona has been working to sign a new left-winger throughout the summer transfer window. Many opportunities came and passed by, but the Catalan club struggled to find the right signing. Now, however, it seems that Barcelona finally have their man.

Arriving on a loan deal from Manchester United, Marcus Rashford is the player chosen by La Blaugrana to play for them next season. While it will be a temporary acquisition, it is one that brings along with it a lot of experience and quality.

Fortunately for Hansi Flick, his transfer request for a new left-winger has now been granted. Yet, even though the player is already at Barcelona, the club has apparently been trying to hide his arrival and is taking no chances.

However, it now seems likely that they will not be able to do that for much longer. According to Fabrizio Romano, Rashford has now recently signed his new contract with Barcelona and it seems like his signing will be made official quite soon.

This deal includes a one-year contract that will see him play the entirety of the upcoming season for Barcelona. Beyond that, the club could choose to retain his services as there is an active purchase option worth around €30 million.

Only the official announcement is now left

However, the player’s salary is definitely no small amount even with the reported wage cut that he took. Currently, the update from Romano suggests that he will earn around €14 million gross as his salary across the duration that he is at the club.

Up next now is the official unveiling and announcement of the English forward. However, with his contract now signed as well, it would be very unlikely for Barcelona to delay the official announcement much longer with fans eager to see the new signing.
