As in previous seasons, we’ll highlight 10 players to consider adding to your Fantasy Bundesliga team ahead of each matchday.
This season, however, we’re not just focusing on differentials, but will provide general recommendations ahead of each matchday.
Here are our picks for Matchday 6:
Lasse Rieß, Mainz (Goalkeeper, 3.73M, 3%)
With Robin Zentner suspended for two games, Lasse Rieß will get the chance in goal for Mainz over the next couple of matches. Priced at 3.73, he’s an inexpensive option for a Mainz side with a favorable fixture against HSV coming up.
Luca Netz, Gladbach (Defender, 3.55M, 0%)
After providing a spark off the bench in last week’s 4-6 defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt, Netz is widely expected to start against Freiburg at home – either as a left-back replacing Lukas Ullrich or on the left wing. At just 3.55 million, he’s an attractive differential option that could potentially explode this weekend.
Sacha Boey, FC Bayern (Defender, 4.91M, 1%)
Bayern face a rather tricky game against Eintracht Frankfurt, but with the form Vincent Kompany’s men are in at the moment, you could argue that most of their assets are essentially fixture-proof. After being rested midweek, Boey is expected to start at right-back again with Josip Stanisic still out. At 4.91 million, he provides an extremely affordable way into the in-form champions’ backline.
Vladimir Coufal, Hoffenheim (Defender, 6.21M, 3%)
The attack-minded Czech full-back has recorded a goal involvement in each of his last two games and now faces a favorable home fixture against FC Köln.
Jens Castrop, Gladbach (Midfielder, 3.5M, 0%)
Castrop has established himself as a starter under Gladbach’s interim coach, Eugen Polanski, and got on the scoresheet and racked up 282 points in their last game against Eintracht Frankfurt. Priced at just 3.5 million, he’s a bargain option you can’t really go wrong with.
Paul Nebel, Mainz (Midfielder, 11.76M, 2%)
Nebel is one of the most appealing attacking options from a Mainz facing struggling HSV this weekend. After scoring 278 points against Augsburg, he picked up an acceptable 176 points against Borussia Dortmund despite the fact that Mainz lost 2-0. With a little more luck, he would have scored in that game, as he hit the post in the first half.
Bilal El Khannouss, Stuttgart (Midfielder, 12.65M, 3%)
Stuttgart have a favorable home fixture against a Heidenheim side sitting 17th. El Khannouss has made an immediate impact at Stuttgart, and unlike the team’s other starting attackers, he is classified as a midfielder in Fantasy, making him slightly more appealing.
Christian Kofane, Bayer Leverkusen (Striker, 1M, 0%)
With Patrik Schick injured, Christian Kofane is expected to deputise for him, just as he did in Wednesday’s 1-1 draw with PSV, where he scored Leverkusen’s only goal. Priced at just 1 million, he’s a very hard option to ignore, with Leverkusen hosting Union Berlin at the weekend.
Ermedin Demirovic, Stuttgart (Striker, 9.75M, 9%)
Having scored in each of his last three Bundesliga games, Ermedin Demirovic will look to extend his streak against 17th-placed Heidenheim at home.
Fisnik Asllani, Hoffenheim (Striker, 10.33M, 10%)
Asllani has made a promising start to the season, recording seven goal involvements (five goals, two assists) in six games across all competitions. With Hoffenheim facing a Köln side who have conceded eight goals in their last three matches, he’s an excellent option up front.
