Francesco Farioli spoke at the press conference previewing the match between Estrela da Amadora and FC Porto, in the 31st round of the Primeira Liga. The Italian coach praised Thiago Silva:

«Thiago Silva? I think it’s his wish, the club’s wish, and mine to see him at the World Cup. When he arrived, he said he wanted to be there. He has been playing in a competitive European environment and has shown the right tempo. He has already played around 1,000 minutes and has played in Europe. But we cannot forget that FC Porto comes before me, Thiago Silva, and Diogo Costa. We all want to win and no one is above the club. He has worked hard enough to be among Ancelotti’s choices, and I hope he is there to celebrate a legendary career».
