Memphis Depay remains in talks over staying at Corinthians, and sponsor Fatal Fans could double its add-on to fund a renewal. According to Meu Timao, the firm would match contributions from other partners up to R$5 million, lifting its support to R$10 million.

The plan was set out in a social media video by business director Samuel Ongaratto and framed as a call for unity among supporters and sponsors.

The platform had already formalised a R$5 million increase to the current deal after the club said it would not renew for financial reasons, tied to signage, kit exposure and hospitality assets.

Fatal Fans cited fellow backers including Esportes da Sorte, which paid R$57 million under the previous main deal, plus long-time partners Banco BMG and Nike.

The company joined the club a little over a month ago on a contract to December 2027 with an option for 2028, worth R$22 million fixed plus R$9 million in extension triggers.

Cori, the club’s advisory council, meets at 19:00 on Monday to examine figures and conditions after talks resumed under pressure on president Osmar Stabile. It has no veto power, so the final decision sits with the board.

Last Tuesday, the club decided not to extend the Dutchman’s deal, which ended on 31 July, citing financial health. Hours later, Memphis Depay voiced disappointment, and a proposed two-season contract featured reduced pay and bonuses plus a renegotiated R$42 million debt.
