Fátima Diame and Miguel Ángel Moyá have confirmed they are in a relationship. The Valencian long jumper and triple jumper, 29, has tended to keep a quiet public profile.

According to Superdeporte, the pair shared several photos on social media. Their posts spoke of meeting at the right time and enjoying it.

Diame is regarded as one of the standout Valencian athletes of recent years, a regular medallist in long jump and triple jump. Her career and Senegalese heritage have dominated headlines.

Moyá, 41, joined Valencia in 2009 after strong campaigns with Mallorca. He spent two seasons largely as a back-up at Mestalla.

Valencia paid five million for his transfer, and after a loan to Getafe he was sold for two million. He later played for Atlético Madrid and Real Sociedad, then moved into punditry with Movistar.
