Bayern Munich look set for a windfall if Nestory Irankunda completes a move to Sporting CP.

Fabrizio Romano reports that the Watford forward is close to joining the Portuguese club in a deal worth around €18 million including add-ons.

Bayern sold the Australian to Watford for €three million in 2025, and are said to have inserted a 40% sell-on clause.

That clause is expected to yield about €eight point two million for the Bundesliga champions once the transfer is finalised.

While the sum will not significantly alter Bayern’s finances, it represents a welcome boost as the club builds its transfer budget ahead of what could be busy summer windows in 2027 and 2028.
