FC Bayern Women extend contract with captain Viggósdóttir | OneFootball

FC Bayern Women have extended captain Glódís Perla Viggósdóttir's contract until 30 June 2028. The Iceland international moved to the Bavarian capital four and a half years ago and has captained the Munich side since 2024. While at FC Bayern Women, the 30-year-old has won the Bundesliga three times, the DFB Cup once and the Supercup twice.

Glódís Perla Viggósdóttir joined FC Bayern Women from Rosengård in the summer of 2021. Since then, she's become a first-choice pick in central defence and has already made 143 appearances for the reigning double winners. Last season, Viggósdóttir led FC Bayern Women to the first double in the club's history. The Iceland captain has also impressed on the international stage and has represented her country on 142 occasions.
