FC Cincinnati have acquired midfielder David Douděra from Czech First League powerhouse Slavia Prague, the club announced Wednesday.

The 28-year-old Czechia international is under contract through the 2027-28 MLS season with an option for 2028-29.

Douděra has spent the last five seasons with Slavia Prague, tallying 13g/22a in 153 appearances. He also spent time with FK Mladá Boleslav and FK Dukla Prague in his home country.

In total, Douděra has recorded 29g/33a in nearly 300 professional matches.

"David is an experienced player who has competed at the highest levels of the game," said Chris Albright, FC Cincinnati general manager.

"He's an excellent teammate who will bring quality, energy, and a winning mentality to our group. We look forward to welcoming David and his family to Cincinnati."

Internationally, Douděra has 2g/4a in 18 caps for Czechia. He was part of their 2026 FIFA World Cup team and played all 90 minutes vs. Mexico.

He'll join fellow countryman Pavel Bucha at Cincinnati, who currently sit sixth in the Eastern Conference (31 points; 8W-7L-7D).
