FC Köln and Eintracht Braunschweig land RB Leipzig academy duo

1. FC Köln and Eintracht Braunschweig have moved for RB Leipzig academy prospects Lionel Voufack and Frederik Jäkel, both leaving in search of more game time.
According to BuLi News, RB Leipzig confirmed Voufack is joining Köln and Jäkel is moving to Braunschweig.
Voufack, a Leipzig-born defender, came through the club’s academy in Saxony.
The 18-year-old will link up with 1. FC Köln’s U-21 side for the 2026-27 campaign.
Centre-back Jäkel will join Eintracht Braunschweig on a permanent deal this summer after spending 2025-26 on loan with the German second-division club.
He progressed through all age groups at Leipzig from 2013 to 2020, then had spells with KV Oostende, Arminia Bielefeld and SV Elversberg before Braunschweig, making 45 appearances in total.
