According to Sky Germany, FC Köln are in advanced negotiations to sign 23-year-old striker Steffen Tigges from Borussia Dortmund.
Tigges recently approached the management at Borussia Dortmund announcing his desire to leave the club for fellow Bundesliga side Köln.
Köln head coach Steffen Baumgart convinced Tigges in one-to-one talks whilst BVB will not put any obstacles in the way of the former Osnabrück player.
According to Ruhr Nachrichten, Borussia Dortmund will receive around €3m for Tigges, who scored three Bundesliga goals in 103 minutes across nine games last season for Marco Rose.
Tigges made his Bundesliga debut for Dortmund in 2021 after he was promoted to the first team by interim head coach Edin Terzić, who now has the role on a permanent basis, replacing Rose.
Prolific in front of goal, Tigges scored 35 goals and created 25 in 65 games for BVB II and will provide competition for Anthony Modeste in the FC Köln first team.
