FC Porto said in a statement that André Silva sustained a sprain to his right ankle, with serious injury ruled out. The Portugal international is back at the club this season.
He opened the scoring from the penalty spot against Alverca, then Gabri Veiga converted another penalty to seal a 2-0 win. Silva later departed on minute 82 after a coming together that left him in discomfort.
Alan Varela is also sidelined, having received treatment for a traumatic sprain to his right ankle.
The squad had a day off on Monday, although eight players completed recovery work at Olival, including Silva and Varela.
Cláudio Ramos and Alberto Costa underwent treatment and trained on a modified programme. Vasco Sousa, André Miranda and Samu trained on a modified programme, while Oskar Pietuszewski had treatment.
