FC Porto, Sporting, Benfica and Marítimo presidents in Copenhagen for EFC Assembly | OneFootball

Presidents of four Portuguese clubs are in Copenhagen, Denmark, for a summit running until Wednesday to debate the future of European football.

According to O Jogo, they are attending the 33rd General Assembly of European Football Clubs, EFC, which will consider the main challenges and decisions shaping the game.

Delegates approved a new governance structure for the organisation, expanding its reach to 920 clubs.

EFC will also study the feasibility of launching World Football Clubs, following interest from non-European sides.

The presidents present are André Villas-Boas, Frederico Varandas, Rui Costa and Carlos André Gomes, representing FC Porto, Sporting, Benfica and Marítimo respectively.
