Porto, Benfica and Sporting lead projected top sales outside Europe’s Big Five | OneFootball

According to the CIES Football Observatory, FC Porto’s Victor Froholdt heads a new list of the 10 most valuable players outside the major five European leagues, with Benfica and Sporting also heavily represented.

The 20-year-old Danish midfielder is valued at €83.7m, ahead of Benfica striker Vangelis Pavlidis on €65m. Al Hilal winger Gabriel Martinelli is third on €63.6m, with Luis Suárez fourth at €62.9m.

FC Porto’s Oskar Pietuszewski ranks seventh on €60.7m, Benfica’s Gianluca Prestianni eighth on €57.9m and Sporting’s Gonçalo Inácio ninth on €57m. The Portuguese trio each have two players in the top 10.

Among goalkeepers, FC Porto’s Diogo Costa is rated the costliest outside the Big Five, with an estimated €49.3m valuation.

Gonçalo Inácio is listed as the most valuable defender in this count, while Benfica’s Samuel Dahl is the highest-rated full-back at €52.7m.
