FC Thun were confirmed Swiss champions on Sunday, clinching the first major trophy in their history with three matches to spare.
They lost 1-3 to Basel on Saturday, then were crowned when second-placed St Gallen fell 0-3 at Sion on Sunday, according to L'Équipe.
Promoted a year ago, Thun have stumbled late on with four defeats in their past five, yet still finished the job.
Their triumph ends a 25-year grip on the title held by Young Boys Bern, Basel and Zurich.
Founded in 1898 and based 30 kilometres from Bern, Thun visit Sion next weekend before hosting Young Boys on 14 May at 16:30 for a final home outing at the Stockhorn Arena.
