Borussia Dortmund midfielder Felix Nmecha put Germany ahead early in their World Cup 2026 opener against Curaçao on Sunday.
It was his third for Germany, arriving in the sixth minute. Curaçao are one of four debutants, alongside Uzbekistan, Jordan and Cape Verde.
The move started down the left, Nmecha exchanging passes with Florian Wirtz before collecting a one-touch return.
He then curled a right-footed shot beyond Miami FC goalkeeper Eloy Room.
Julian Nagelsmann’s side were pegged back swiftly, with Curaçao equalising 15 minutes later.
