Internacional have signed Félix Torres on loan from Corinthians until December 2026, the club announced on Sunday afternoon.
The defender had been in Porto Alegre since Thursday to undergo medical tests and complete paperwork. According to Meu Timao, the clubs will split his wages and the deal includes an option to buy with terms undisclosed.
Talks had been advanced since the start of the year but were delayed by a financial issue owed by Corinthians to the player, estimated at 500,000 dollars, around R$ 2.7 million. After Corinthians presented a proposal, discussions with the Porto Alegre side were finalised.
Torres joined Corinthians in January 2024 from Mexico’s Santos Laguna for 6.5 million dollars, about R$ 32.1 million at the time. Payment delays triggered a FIFA transfer ban that was lifted at the start of this year.
Corinthians hold 80% of his economic rights and his contract there runs until December 2027. He has made 80 appearances, starting 73.
Last year he slipped to fifth choice under Dorival Júnior. The arrival of Gabriel Paulista further limited his opportunities.
