Corinthians have announced the signing of Jesse Lingard, and the move has quickly drawn international coverage.
In a live bulletin, Sky Sports highlighted the Brazilian giants. The outlet said Lingard has signed until the end of 2026, with an option for one more year.
The Telegraph reported he would play alongside former Manchester United team-mate Memphis Depay at Corinthians, noting the Dutch forward has been with the club since 2024. The paper also placed focus on Corinthians as current Copa do Brasil holders and their involvement in this year's Copa Libertadores.
Fabrizio Romano said the deal was official and a free transfer, adding the former Manchester United midfielder will wear number 77.
Manchester United said in a statement that Lingard has completed his move to Parque São Jorge and will reunite with Memphis. Meanwhile, Corinthian-Casuals welcomed the nod to the club’s English roots on his arrival.
Lingard is not yet cleared to debut as Corinthians await documentation to register him in the CBF’s BID. He has not played since December 2025 and will undergo reconditioning before returning to action.
