Fenerbahce are closing in on Romelu Lukaku after the Belgian striker gave his initial agreement to join from Napoli.
La Gazzetta dello Sport reports negotiations are in the final stages, with a deal expected within the next 24 hours.
Lukaku has agreed a two-year contract worth 10 million euros including bonuses. Fenerbahce want him in as soon as possible for the new season.
Napoli are ready to sanction the 33-year-old's departure and need at least 10-12 million euros to avoid a capital loss. His exit would also remove an 11 million euros gross salary from their wage bill.
Chelsea are due 40% of the value of any future sale under the 2024 agreement.
Lukaku joined Napoli in 2024 and helped the club win the Italian league title. A switch to Fenerbahce would enhance his chance of continuing in the Champions League, with the club in the qualifying rounds.
Talks in Italy are also expected between his agent, Federico Pastorello, and the parties to complete the move. For new Fenerbahce coach Ismail Kartal, it offers a highly experienced attacking option.
The developments come days after Trabzonspor announced the signing of Egypt captain Mohamed Salah on a two-year deal, a move that caused a huge stir in Türkiye.
