Fenerbahce say they are out of their recent crisis after FIFA lifted a ban on registering new signings for three transfer windows. The club announced on Thursday that the sanction, imposed last week, had been removed.
The penalty followed a missed instalment on Youssef En-Nesyri’s move from Sevilla in summer 2024, a 19.5 million euro deal. The Spanish club then demanded the next payment ahead of schedule.
Fenerbahce had maintained the ban was temporary and would end once the funds cleared. With payment made, they can register players again from next January without restrictions.
The Moroccan striker spent a season and a half at Fenerbahce, from summer 2024 to winter 2026. He played 79 matches, scoring 38 goals and providing eight assists.
He departed in the last winter window to join Al-Ittihad in a move reported at 15 million euros.
