Fenerbahce have confirmed that deals involving N’Golo Kante and Youssef En-Nesyri have collapsed.
The moves failed due to incorrect information supplied by Al-Ittihad.
Fenerbahce reached an agreement with Al-Ittihad to sign Kante for €4 million, with En-Nesyri set to join the Saudi Pro League side as part of the deal.
Kante had undergone medicals in Saudi Arabia and was not in the Al-Ittihad matchday squad for their match against Al-Najma SC on Sunday, suggesting the deal was close to completion.
However, En-Nesyri started Fenerbahce’s Super Lig clash against Kocaelispor on Monday, but reportedly bid farewell to his teammates after the game.
Fenerbahce could sign Kante as a free agent next summer, but it is unclear whether they will retain an interest in him.
The French international remains a key player for Al-Ittihad, starting all 18 league games in which he has been named in the matchday squad.
En-Nesyri’s future at the Turkish club is uncertain, with three years left on his contract.
He was also linked with Everton, Nottingham Forest and Juventus during the winter transfer window.
The Moroccan has made 27 appearances across all competitions this season, registering eight goals and one assist.
