Two Fenerbahçe players have received 16-month suspended prison sentences for assaulting Galatasaray’s stadium director after a fractious derby in May 2024.

According to L'Équipe, an Istanbul court found Dutch defender Jayden Oosterwolde and Turkish midfielder Mert Hakan Yandas guilty of assault. A medical report cited in the indictment recorded a cervical fracture for Ali Çelikkiran.
