Fenerbahce have stepped up their pursuit of Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins, increasing their offer to €35m. The Yellow Canaries have already added Nathan Ake and Vedat Muriç, and are said to have finalised a move for Mason Greenwood.

According to Turkish-Football.com, Watkins has been offered a three-year contract worth €nine million per season, which he has agreed in principle. Talks between the clubs are ongoing.

Villa would ordinarily be reluctant to sell, with their centre-forward under contract until June 2028. Any deal will hinge on reaching agreement with the Premier League side.

Watkins is coming off another strong season under Unai Emery, scoring 21 goals and providing five assists in 55 appearances across all competitions. His form earned him selection in Thomas Tuchel’s England squad for the ongoing 2026 FIFA World Cup.

He is currently in North America with the Three Lions as they prepare for a semi-final against Lionel Messi’s Argentina. His camp have cooled transfer talk to keep his focus on the World Cup, while Fenerbahce work to position themselves for post-tournament discussions.

If completed, the move would be among the most high-profile arrivals in the Turkish Süper Lig.
