Fenerbahçe submit €27m bid for Lazio midfielder Matteo Guendouzi amid interest from Premier League clubs | OneFootball

Fenerbahçe have submitted a significant €27m bid for France international and SS Lazio midfielder Matteo Guendouzi (26), according to L’Equipe. The former Arsenal and Olympique de Marseille midfielder is expected to be a man in demand during the winter transfer window. Guendouzi also attracts interest from two unnamed Premier League clubs, who are yet to submit bids. Sunderland were previously interested in bringing Guendouzi back to the Premier League.

As it stands, the Turkish Süper Lig giants are leading the race to sign Guendouzi with Fenerbahçe ramping up their efforts to convince Lazio to part ways with the France international. The outlet reports that, following several days of talks, Fenerbahçe have submitted a €27m bid for Guendouzi that, as it stands, has not been accepted by Lazio. Fenerbahça are also yet to reach a contractual agreement with Guendouzi, who is under contract with Lazio until 2028.
