Report Guendouzi will leave Lazio for Fenerbahce next week | OneFootball

Multiple sources confirm Matteo Guendouzi is on the verge of a transfer to Fenerbahce, with Lazio pocketing €25m plus €2m in add-ons, but not until next week.

This is an increased figure from the original bid, which was said to be worth €23m plus a further €2m in performance-related bonuses.

The France international midfielder had already agreed personal terms with the Turkish team, and was eager to make the move in the January transfer window.

Now Sky Sport Italia, Sport Mediaset, Sportitalia and more are all confident the improved proposal has been enough to convince Lazio into the sale too.

However, Guendouzi is expected to make two more performances in the Lazio jersey, not leaving until early next week.

There is a midweek round in Serie A, so Maurizio Sarri wants to keep hold of him for the matches against Fiorentina on Wednesday evening, then Verona on Sunday.

It will give them time to secure a replacement, already being short-staffed right now.
