Fanatik reports that Fenerbahçe are targeting Chelsea’s Argentine pair Aaron Anselmino and Valentín Barco to meet the Süper Lig U-23 requirements, aiming to act before the Blues hit FIFA’s cap of six over-21 outbound loans. The board are said to be working under İsmail Kartal’s instruction.
Centre-back Anselmino, 21, joined Chelsea from Boca Juniors in 2024 then took in loans at Borussia Dortmund and Strasbourg. With minutes scarce at Stamford Bridge, Fenerbahçe are preparing an official loan proposal to bring him to Istanbul.
He suffered a minor muscle strain in pre-season against Johor Darul Ta’zim, and is expected to be back to full fitness soon.
Barco, 22, offers versatility across left-back, central midfield and left wing.
He spent last season at Strasbourg, producing three goals and nine assists in 43 outings, a campaign that earned him an Argentina World Cup call-up.
Fenerbahçe are expected to open formal talks with Chelsea in the coming days to discuss loan terms for both players before the European transfer deadline.
